While many were out celebrating Valentine's Day on February 14, Gaimin Gladiators were having a mixed day of emotions. On one side, their Dota 2 team was eliminated from their current tournament in the BetBoom Dacha Dubai event – but on the other, the organisation announced their new venture forward which came in the form of entering the bright and exciting world of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.

Confirmed via a post on their X account, GG announced their “next big step” with an amazing roster of extremely talented and well-known players. Signing four players from TheOhioBrothers, as well as one from BloodThirstyKings, GG gears themselves up for a strong year in the MLBB scene.

The full team roster is:

Jang “Hoon” Seong-hun
Oscar “Shark” Vo
Bestplayer1
ZIA
Ian “FwydChickn” Hohl

At some point or another in the past few years, these players have all played with one another, be it on BTK, TOB, or The Valley, they are well-versed in each other’s playstyles and communication will be no issue. While the North American MLBB scene is still finding its footing, these players have already cemented themselves as pioneers in the region – and now they look to keep moving upward under a massive organisation.

The move away from TOB leaves Chris Amiel “Mielow” Enobio and Jared Evan “Wrath” Gillespie to pick up the pieces if they do continue from their Outplay days, while BTK has now lost their final player which made them once a powerhouse in MLBB. However, aside from their old rosters, it will be interesting to see how GG fare in MLBB and the NA scene this year. With many changes to the game’s ecosystem made by MOONTON, there is a high chance that we will see GG popping up in some international events if they can withstand the pressure of their region.
