A remake of Persona 4 was seemingly leaked after a new domain containing the name P4RE was discovered.
A Persona 4 remake announcement is seemingly imminent, after a new domain containing the term P4RE was discovered. The discovery was made by YouTuber and internet personality ScrambledFaz. The YouTuber found that the domain P4RE.JP was registered on 20 March 2025. The same naming pattern was also used for Persona 3 Reload: p3re.JP.
Persona 4 remake seemingly leaks
ScrambledFaz, or FazPersona, mentioned that p3re.jp was registered two years ago, and three months later, Atlus revealed Persona 3 Reload. While the pattern seems to be in order, it was not revealed whether Atlus made the domain itself, rather than other companies or personalities. Thus, it's best to take the leak with a grain of salt until Atlus announces the project officially.
As previously mentioned, Atlus revealed Persona 3 Reload not long after the new domain was discovered. However, that announcement was made after the company released a series of teasers stating that a new game announcement was imminent. This time, however, Atlus hasn't released any teasers pointing to the announcement of the Persona 4 remake.
Persona 4 was released back in 2008 for the PlayStation 2 console. The role-playing game made by Atlus was a follow-up to Persona 3, which saw tremendous success upon its release. Like its predecessor, Persona 4 also saw critical acclaim and commercial success.
The success of Persona 4 was translated to its PlayStation Vita port, Persona 4: Golden, which expands its story and features, bringing in two new social links for Marie, a new character, and Tohru Adachi, a junior detective under Dojima's wing. Persona 4: Golden was also ported to PC platforms in 2020.
Besides the Golden re-release, Persona 4 also spawned spin-offs such as fighting games (Persona 4 Arena), rhythm games (Persona 4: Dancing All Night), and classic dungeon-crawlers in collaboration with other Persona series (Persona Q: Shadow of Labyrinth and Persona Q2; New Cinema Labyrinth).
Atlus hasn't made any statements or announcements regarding a Persona 4 remake as of the time of writing.
