Aurora Gaming remain undefeated to top the leaderboard by the end of the first half of the MPL Philippines Season 15.
By the end of the first half of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines Season 15, Aurora Gaming were the only team in the league to stay undefeated after beating
Team Liquid PH to take the top spot in the league's Regular Season.
The Northern Lights pulled off a 2-1 reverse sweep over The Cavalry thanks to the brilliance of Kiel Calvin “OHEB” Soriano.
Jan Dominic “Domeng” Delmundo and
Renejay “RENEJAY” Barcarse rallied the team behind his back with his impressive display of Granger's positioning.
Week 4 also featured the first full points for ONIC Philippines since the first week as they finally got their third and fourth wins against
Smart Omega and
Twisted Minds PH.
After three weeks of disappointing displays from ONIC PH, the world champions finally bounced back against both Smart OMEGA and Twisted Minds PH. King “K1ngkong” Perez and
Duane “Kelra” Pillas were the catalysts for ONIC PH's resurgence, especially The Gold Standard himself, who mustered a 2-1 comeback against Twisted Minds PH.
Here are the MPL Philippines Season 15 Regular Season standings by the end of Week 4:
Aurora Gaming (7-0) +9 Game difference (GF)
Team Liquid PH (6-1) +9 GF
Team Falcons PH (5-2) +4 GF
ONIC Philippines (4-3) +3 GF
TNC Pro Team (3-4) -1 GF
AP.Bren (1-6) -7 GF
Smart Omega (1-6) -8 GF
Twisted Minds PH (1-6) -9 GF
Aurora Gaming's brilliance lies in the team itself
Aurora are, without a doubt, the best-performing team in MPL Philippines Season 15 right now. Their dominance wasn't born from relying on just one player too – similar to how ONIC PH (then Fnatic ONIC PH) performed last season, where everyone pulled their weight and brought out the best from their teammates
The Renejay-Domeng pairing has also been one of the most impressive duos in the league so far. The duo has led the league in Total Kills, Total Assists, Most Kills per game, and Most Assists per game, according to the stats sheet shared by MPL Philippines. Domeng also raked in two weekly MVP awards to date, making him the player with the most weekly MVPs currently.
While the other team members haven't been leading in player stats, all of them were consistently in the Top 5 except for Edward Jay “Edward” Dapadap. However, Edward's role in the team has limited his production in terms of the all-player stats. He shines in the player-by-role stats, where he is compared against other EXP Laners. He leads almost everything inside the category, especially the average assist and kill stats. In 19 games played, he is averaging 2.16 kills and 6.79 assists. He is also undefeated when using Poveus in the league, having won six games.
The timely victory of AP.Bren

While the race for the Top 1 finish in the regular season can be classified as over for AP.Bren, the race for a Playoff spot is very much still open for the former Lazy Esports players. The victory over Smart Omega was timely and correctly targeted for their qualification to the Playoffs. They currently sit in sixth place over Smart Omega and Twisted Minds PH. While all three have 1-6 records in the league, AP.Bren has a GF advantage over both of them.
The win over Smart Omega catapulted them to the Playoffs and gave them an edge over their closest rival. They basically snatched a four-game advantage over Smart Omega. AP.Bren's GF improved from -8 to -7 in the league, while their opponent plummeted four points after losing 2-0 in both games they played, taking them down to -8.
Their advantage can be improved even more when they take on TNC Pro Team on Week 5, where they potentially can get a game from them. Their opponent, meanwhile, will face the recently defeated
Team Falcons PH, who wants a quick momentum recovery from their loss against Aurora. If they can hold TNC Pro Team to a 2-1 loss or even a 2-1 victory, they will almost guarantee the win over the race to the playoff.
MPL Philippines Season 15 will continue with Week 5 of the Regular Season on Friday (28 March). Aurora Gaming will face Twisted MInds PH in the week's opening game, while ONIC PH will wait for The currently undefeated team on the second day.
