MLBB: The Kohai SEA Championship takes us into the new year

M5 may be over, and the year basically wrapped up for professional MLBB, but this week we do have another tournament to watch.

2023 has been another epic year for Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, with records being broken across the board with viewership, and some amazing showings from teams at tournaments. The most recent, the M5 World Championship, just wrapped up, and now we have a short period without too much to look forward to in the way of pro teams playing. However, that is not completely true, as this week we see the Kohai Southeast Asia Championship Season 2 main event begin.

Although it may not be the biggest tournament around, the Kohai SEA Championship still features some well-known teams, such as HomeBois, TODAK, and See You Soon, just to name a few. The tournament features a total of 32 teams and runs from December 20th through to the 31st, officially closing out the 2023 MLBB year with its grand finale.

Not only does Kohai feature some SEA teams, but it also gives us another opportunity to see the Chinese teams KeepBest Gaming and Zenith Esports in action. While neither made it to the main stage at M5, KBG were present in the Wildcard Tournament, and we are excited to see what the region can bring to MLBB in 2024. The full list of teams participating at the Kohai SEA Championship Season 2 is as follows:

  • HomeBois
  • TODAK
  • See You Soon
  • CFU Gaming
  • Alter Ego X
  • Bigetron Beta
  • Dewa United Rhodes
  • ECHO Proud
  • Team Flash
  • Niightmare Esports
  • IDONOTSLEEP Esports
  • Zenith Esports
  • KeepBest Gaming
  • RSG Malaysia
  • Minana EVOS
  • Red Giants Esports
  • Pertalegends RB
  • MLFS Esports
  • Aoshi Esports
  • Vinder Wolver
  • Vessakha Esports
  • Behave Xiera
  • Harpy Aillo
  • MBR Zeta
  • Eldians Esports
  • MV Originz
  • GamesMY Kespoc
  • TRVN Esports
  • Team SR
  • Men of Geniuses
  • Existence X
  • Miracle Gaming

As can be seen from the above list of teams, some are already established within the MLBB scene, while others could be looking to use this event to bolster themselves going into 2024 and maybe we will be seeing more of them in the future. Either way, this gives us a good amount of MLBB to take us through into the new year, with a nice time to relax after the excitement of M5.
