Mobile Legends: Bang Bang is a constantly evolving battlefield, with teams often changing their rosters, new heroes becoming “meta”, and the map itself becoming different at times. In the same light, the MPL itself has been doing the same, as Moonton Games continues to enhance the game for fans and players alike. When it first kicked off, MPL ID featured a total of 10 teams, even reaching a peak of 12 in Season 3, before becoming the standardised 8 teams which have become the norm. However, with Season 12 approaching, MPL ID is taking a step forward, adding a new team into the mix – as Dewa United Esports joins in the action.
Dewa is definitely not a brand-new team, having been involved in the Mobile Legends Development League since Season 3. While the team have never won the tournament, the most recent Season 7 saw them taking second place behind EVOS Icon. The inclusion of Dewa brings the current total tally of teams in MPL ID Season 12 up to 9 – which leaves us wondering if another team is soon to be announced for the tournament.
At the current time of writing, no further details have been given on whether or not we will see a tenth team added, but right now we can welcome in the new challenger. With a full ID roster, Dewa United Esports could cause some upsets, or find themselves struggling against the experience of the other 8 MPL ID teams. All remains to be seen when Season 12 kicks off on July 13, 2023.
