After a successful M6 World Championship in Malaysia, the M7 World Championship will return to Indonesia, the country with one of the biggest MLBB fanbases.
Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) developer MOONTON Games announced that the M7 World Championship Final will be hosted in Indonesia in January 2026. The announcement was made ahead of the M6 World Championship grand finals, which saw the return of the M World Championship Series to its first venue, Axiata Arena, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
This will mark the second time that the M World Series will be hosted in Indonesia, with the first being the M4 World Championship in January 2023. With the announcement, Indonesia will also join Singapore and Malaysia as two-time hosts of the M World Championship Series.
The M4 World Championship in Indonesia saw Tennis Indoor Stadium Senayan playing hosts as the venue for the grand finals. There, ECHO swept M3 champions Blacklist International, 4-0, to win the Philippines its third consecutive MLBB world title.
Indonesia hosting the M World Championship series for a second time comes as no suprise as the country has long been one of the major regions in MLBB esports, boasting millions of casual players and dozens of high-profile professionals.
Indonesia also has the biggest MLBB Professional League (MPL), which has been notorious for breaking viewership records each year. Its latest edition, MPL Indonesia Season 14, broke the viewership record in the history of all MPLs with 3.9 million peak viewers during the seven-game thriller between Team Liquid ID and RRQ Hoshi in the grand finals.
As the M6 World Championship is set to conclude, the return of the M World Series to Indonesia should almost guarantee a successful M7 World Championship.
