The M5 World Championship heads to the Philippines

As Mobile Legends: Bang Bang continues to grow, the M5 World Championship has been confirmed for the Philippines.

MLBB has been constantly evolving and expanding, bringing in teams, players, and fans from across the globe. The M-series World Championships will be heading into their fifth iteration this year, culminating another epic year of MLBB for teams – and this time around, we are heading to the Philippines. Having been in Malaysia, Singapore twice, and Indonesia, Moonton continues to bring the fans exactly what they want, as the PH fans will now get a taste of the amazing event, as the M5 World Championship heads to the region which has won it three times so far.

Announced shortly before the Mobile Legends Southeast Asia Cup 2023 grand finals got underway, M5 will have a few changes – with more chances for teams from around the world to join in. While the usual MPL regions such as the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Cambodia, and MENA will be joining, there will also be the normal winners of the MLBB Turkey Championship, the Liga LATAM victors, North America’s Challenger Tournament winners, the M5 Myanmar qualifier, and the MLBB Continental Championship.

M5 will also add a brand-new qualifier phase, the Wild Card, which will give some teams a second chance to make it through to the global stage. Eight teams will fight it out for the top two spots, and a chance to reach the prestigious M5 World Championship. Teams from South Asia, Bangladesh and Nepal, Mekong, Malaysia, LATAM, EECA, Mongolia, and two more regions yet to be announced will be involved in this last-chance qualifier which comes to us in November of this year.

With not a whole lot of information currently available further, we will have to patiently wait for more. For now, it will be amazing to have the PH fans screaming for their favourite team, especially after the region has produced the last three winners for the M-series event. Stay tuned to our MLBB channel for more news on M5 as it comes in – including the qualifiers and all the teams which could progress through from the MPL.
