With the Mobile Legends Southeast Asia Cup 2023 opening its doors to international teams, Turkey was one of the regions to gain a tournament to find a champion to enter the event for the region. With the MTC Turkiye Championship Season 1, eight teams began a journey to become the best team in the region, as well as make their presence felt in Phnom Penh, Cambodia in June 2023.

Over this past weekend, the final four teams left in the event entered the playoffs, ready to make their final attempt at reaching the pinnacle of Turkish Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. Fire Flux Impunity, Venus, BRA Esports, and Chaos entered the fray, but by the final day, BRA was eliminated, leaving three in the battle for supremacy. The lower bracket final today saw a brutal best-of-five series, which ended with Chaos continuing a miraculous lower bracket run to set up a rematch against FFI.

Having gone unbeaten through the playoffs, FFI was definitely the favourite in this series, even though Chaos was able to show some fantastic signs of improvement throughout the tournament. Unfortunately, that was far from enough as they were slaughtered in a 4-0 clean sweep, with the first three games barely lasting half an hour in the Land of Dawn. With picks such as Estes and Beatrix, FFI controlled the map and came out as the clear victors – stamping their claim as the best in Turkey.

The win, as previously mentioned, will send Fire Flux Impunity through to MSC 2023, where they join 15 teams from around the world competing for the spoils at the event. This includes possibly creating history and becoming the first-time non-SEA champions of the event. We will have more information on MSC 2023 over the coming weeks, so stay tuned to our MLBB tab.
