Alter Ego proved a lot on Day One of the Mobile Legends Professional League Playoffs in Indonesia, especially that they should be feared when it comes to this stage of the tournament. With Nino having swapped into the Gold Lane, the team have returned to a place of dominance within the ID scene, and today they would have another chance to show this. However, Rex Regum Qeon would be their challenger – and although having lost to AE once during the Regular Season, a dynasty of top tier performances lay in their wake.

The revolution begins

RRQ came out fighting, as was expected, with the recently revamped Minsitthar on their lineup – hailing the King’s Calling as it were. While the Kings of Kings took the victory, it did feel as though AE were waiting to strike, and that is exactly what they did. One game down, the switch flipped and it was time for Alter Ego to show exactly what they were made of, with Nino impressing with Beatrix once again. After tying the series, it was another Nino spectacle, as the team took match point in an 11-minute slaughter.

Finally feeling as though they had a chance, RRQ went into game four looking as though they could be about to tie things up – but that was far from the case. Although they were able to constantly pick off the Estes of Rasy, Celiboy’s Akai alongside Nino’s shredding Melissa was too much. Even with a brief technical pause which calmed everything down, AE showed that they are in the playoffs to fight this time.

With a magnificent display, Alter Ego sent the Kings of Kings down into the lower bracket, securing themselves a spot in the upper bracket final of MPL ID Season 11. For RRQ, the lower bracket now awaits them – and the talk of every MLBB fan is whether it is the end of the dynasty after this loss.
