Season 10 of the Mobile Legends Professional League in the Philippines was one that Smart Omega Esports would want to forget – coming in a poor sixth place after a swift exit from the playoff stage. The team which is normally able to blast its way through nearly every team, including Blacklist International at the MSC 2021 event, managed to easily jump into the playoff stage beyond Nexplay EVOS and TNC Pro Team, but that’s where their journey ended at the hands of a revamped Bren Esports. Now, as we head towards Season 11, Omega have made some massive changes to their squad, as they look to take on the best of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang world.

The biggest change that we see for Omega is the “Ch4k-mamba”, Joshua “Ch4knu” Mangilog has decided to take a break from the squad, moving to an inactive role in the organisation. Alongside this, Billy “Z4pnu” Jazha Alfonso has also moved to inactive on the roster. This gives way for Dale “Stowm” Rolan Vidor from Bren Esports and a new talent in Louis for the EXP lane. While the rest of the team remains somewhat the same, Patrick “E2MAX” James Caidic has become the teams new Technical Coach.

The full Smart Omega Esports roster for MPL PH Season 11 is:

  • Renz Errol “Renzio” Salonga Cadua
  • Dean “Raizen” Christian Sumagui
  • Dale “Stowm” Rolan Vidor
  • Grant “Kelra” Duane Pillas
  • Mico “Mikko” Tabangay
  • Louis

One thing that is clear when looking at this team is also the absence of Kiel VJ “Kielvj” Cruzem, who has moved to the Omega Neos squad. Whether or not this season will turn out better for Omega remains to be seen, but the team are always able to cause some of the greatest upsets when their backs are against the wall – and with some new members in their team, it may be their time to shine once again.
