PSG Talon secure a Bracket Stage for at the Mid-Season Invitational.

FlyQuest get its wings clipped against PSG Talon at the Mid-Season Invitational

It was a straightforward 2-0 victory for PSG Talon as they sent FlyQuest home from the Mid-Season Invitational.

PSG Talon got its revenge over FlyQuest and sent home the LCS second seed from the Mid-Season Invitational, thus securing the PCS' spot in the Bracket Stage of the competition. PSG will now join T1 as well as Top Esports in the next phase of the tournament whilst FQ will be heading home as the third team to be eliminated from MSI.

On the opening day of MSI, it was FQ who got the comeback victory against PSG. Unfortunately, they couldn't repeat its success from day one as PSG were clinical in two straight games to stop FQ. This also means that Team Liquid is the only North American team left in the tournament for the LCS.

And the first game of the series could not have gone any worse for FQ as they got outplayed and outmanoeuvred in a little over 30 minutes. FQ were forced into chasing PSG's shadow for most of the match as that left them with just two turrets, one drake, and only six kills in total. And of the six, Gabriël “Bwipo” Rau had four while Fahad “Massu” Abdulmalek and Nicolaj “Jensen” Jensen had one apiece.

As for PSG, Chun-chia “JunJia” Yu was absolutely styling on FQ with his Viego, who had five kills, five assists, and zero deaths. And he's not the only one as both Yi-Tang “Maple” Huang and Yu-Hung “Betty” Lu also recorded zero deaths in the first game. Betty's Senna would further add two kills and 10 assists to the tally while Huang “Azhi” Shang-Zhi was left as the scapegoat of the team with one kill, seven assists, and five deaths to his name, the most on the team in game one.

But that didn't deter PSG as they came out of game two looking to end FQ's misery and they did so in six minutes shorter than the first match. PSG also allowed FQ only five kills, all of which went to Kacper “Inspired” Sloma and it was also one less than the first game. The rest of FQ could barely do much else as PSG were absolutely dominant from start to finish. And Azhi's Rumble this time fared much better with five kills, 11 assists, and zero deaths.

Hung-Yu “Woody” Lin was also one of the shining stars in the second game with Ashe as he provided 15 assists to go with four kills. Aside from that, Maple had another solid match in the mid-lane as his Aurelion Sol was given so much free rein that also saw him pick up eight kills and nine assists with only three deaths.
