With a brand new season, Riot Games introduces its latest AD carry hailing from the undercity of Zaun.
We're just five days into the new year and Riot Games is looking to start 2022 on the right foot by seemingly unveiling its latest champion, an AD carry named Zeri. There was no official announcement or reveal for the champion as she just appeared out of nowhere on the official League of Legends' champions page. She has since been removed but not before giving us a glimpse on what Zeri is capable of.
Known as the 'Spark of Zaun', Zeri is described as a headstrong and spirited young woman from the undercity's working class. She is capable of channeling her electrical magic to charge both herself as well as her custom-crafted gun. Seen as a volatile individual with the emotional instability to match, the only other related champion close to her is Ekko, which makes a lot of sense seeing as he is also from Zaun.
While her reveal has yet to be determined, this could paint a picture on what we can expect for the second season of Arcane. As the season finale was shrouded in uncertainty, there's no telling what's to come in the next instalment. But if Zeri were to make her way to the Summoner's Rift by then, we could very well see her on the silver screen someday soon.
As of this moment, there is no immediate news on her release date but rest assured, she will definitely make her way onto the rift sometime before this quarter is up.
