I log into league of legends and see that the Aatrox rework is finally out. His design is a bit strange but I'm not allowed to complain about lore continuity, lest I get permabanned for homophobic remarks. Anyways, I start a lobby (after navigating through 4 different selection screens) and invite my friends to join, hopefully, they haven't given up on URF completely. We load into the lobby and we're greeted by Ezreal, instantly locked in. I go to select my runes and realize that Riot already had picked those for me this year. Thank you for having my back Riot. I see that we are allowed to have flash this time around as well. It's so great riot is finally listening to our feedback. We get into the loading screen and see that we get to play as Ezreal's black chroma. I miss being able to use the skins I bought for the game, but $10 isn't that much so I shrug it off and look at the enemy team. They all have the same Ezreal (Black Chroma) as well, awesome. The game finally starts and I spawn in the top lane, along side one of my teammates. I see that I've rolled mobi boots as my starting items. My friend is much more lucky and rolled Vampiric Scepter. I also was given my W first, and my ally was given E. Now it's a race to see who can take then other's tower first. I W into tower range and auto it once. It is destroyed and grants 1000 first tower gold and instantly heals me. One of the enemy Ezreals rolled an IE and autos me. I stand no chance against his rng and take 1500 critical strike damage. I respawn back at base and see the enemy team has destroyed the nexus. Wow, that was a really long game. It's been forever since I've had a 7 min game. I exit and get back to the client and see I've unlocked 3 new icons. They look almost identical but I shrug and add them to my collection. 290 strong now. I also see that I've earned 1 blue essence for spending more than 5 mins in a single match. I leave the after game chat and see that I've gotten a key fragment fragment. Yes! I'm now 10% closer to getting one of my chests open. My friend always makes fun of me for actually earning my rewards, rather than just paying the $50 to open my 50 chests sitting in Hextech Crafting. I laugh it off because I know Riot has been great to me in offering us such a great and expansive URF mode this season.
