Like it or not, the infamous Skibidi Toilet meme is coming to Fortnite.
Epic Games is officially bringing the infamous Skibidi Toilet cinematic universe to its multiplayer platform Fortnite. Skibidi Toilet is perhaps best known as a Gen Z and Gen A-associated meme, its name often parroted out of context to make young folks cringe in embarrassment, and old folks frown in confusion. The meme sprung from a YouTube series of the same name, which currently consists of 77 episodes.
Fortnite leaker Spush revealed that the crossover would consist of in-game cosmetics themed after the series, and the official Fortnite Twitter/X account confirmed as much in a not-so-cryptic tweet soon after:
Skibidi Toilet x Fortnite is becoming a reality
Skibidi Toilet is coming to Fortnite this week. The meme, which became popular with Gen A and Z following the release of a YouTube series animated using Source Filmmaker, has become something of an unlikely pop culture phenomenon. Online users comment “skibidi toilet” on random posts with reckless abandon and blissful ignorance of the term’s origins, and merchandise for the YouTube series have begun to crop up in popular chain stores like Walmart.
The Skibidi Toilet series has been uploaded in parts on a YouTube channel called DaFuq!?Boom!. While it began as an innocent-enough series of clips featuring a head in a toilet – its likeness taken from a Half-Life 2 character model – its story has escalated wildly into a dystopian war waged between talking heads in toilets and humanoids with CCTV cameras for heads.
It’s unlikely that Fortnite will reuse Half-Life 2 character models in bringing Skibidi Toilet to its battle royale platform and other modes, but players are at least confirmed to get a version of the infamous meme as a cosmetic. According to Spush, the collaboration will feature a Plungerman Outfit, Skibidi Toilet Back Bling, and a Plungerman’s Plunger Pickaxe. A Skibidi Toilet bundle will be available for 2,200 V-Bucks.
Fortnite's Skibidi Toilet cosmetics will launch sometime on December 18, 2024.
