As part of the BlizzCon opening ceremony, Hearthstone's developers announced the much anticipated Hearthstone expansion - 'Goblins vs Gnomes'. The expansion will feature 120 new cards and will be released next month.Â
After weeks and months of speculation, Blizzard confirmed the release of Hearthstone's first card expansion as part of today's BlizzCon opening ceremony. The expansion will be released before the end of 2014, far sooner than many expected, and we will likely get a number of sneak peaks of new cards over the weekend as the expansion is playable on the convention floor.
The release of 120 cards at once in expansion-specific booster packs will certainly shake up the meta game, both on ladder and in competitive tournaments. With a number of tournaments throughout December, players who adapt the new cards into their decks quickly will likely gain a competitive advantage.
