The lunar year is almost here, and HoYoverse’s Zenless Zone Zero is going all out and celebrating the occassion with style. Lumina Square has been transformed into a festive hub, decorated with lunar year lanterns, and well-wishes for the new year.
At the centre of the festivities is a vibrant new event titled named The Day of Brilliant Wishes. This event focuses on Astra and the Proxy’s efforts to help Eous win Ridu’s Got Boo, a Bangboo idol contest. Players will dress up Eous, guide him through performances, and tackle various mini-games.
Completing all chapters of “The Day of Brilliant Wishes” event commission will reward players with an exclusive Nicole Demara agent outfit, Cunning Cutie, which can also be purchased in the in-game store after the event ends.
The event will run from 23 January to 10 March 2025. To participate, players need to reach Inter-Knot Lv. 15 and complete the Agent Story "Mole in the Hole (I)."

For the best experience, it is recommended to complete Main Story Chapter 5 “A Storm of Falling Stars” and the Special Episode “Astra-nomical Moment” before participating in the event.
During the event, Proxies can:
- Join Astra Yao at Starloop Tower to participate in the "Ridu’s Got Boo" competition, guiding Eous through progressive stages of the contest.
- Track commissions in Tailored for Boo to design outfits for Eous.
- Participate in the Grand Marcel Adventure to earn Popularity Carrots, with higher daily rewards for the first participation.
- Earn various rewards, including the Nicole Cunning Cutie outfit, Radiant Gold collectible, Heartfelt Wish collectible, Hamster Cage Pass, Polychromes, and upgrade materials.
Event Segments
Ridu’s Got Boo
In this segment, players will dress up their Bangboo and guide Eous in a rhythm game to outperform opposing Bangboos. The competition progresses through five stages: Qualifiers, Group Stage, Quarterfinals, Semifinals, and Finals.
Players can also access an extra training mode, which offers more challenging versions of previously cleared stages, allowing Eous to hone his skills before advancing further.
Grand Marcel Adventure
The Grand Marcel Adventure is the highlight of Zenless Zone Zero’s Lunar Year celebrations. This multiplayer mode lets players team up with friends or join random matches with up to 12 participants. They’ll face off on a variety of maps featuring chaotic mini-games inspired by Fall Guys.
Winning these mini-games rewards players with Popularity Carrots, which are distributed based on their rankings. The fast-paced and unpredictable gameplay adds a layer of excitement, especially when shared with friends. With the event running for more than four weeks, players will be given enough time to enjoy the festivities and earn rewards like Polychromes, upgrade materials, and outfits for Eous to use in Ridu’s Got Boo.
The event will also feature new interactions between the Proxies and the agents, and the banter involved can be quite entertaining. Do you think your Eous can make it to the top?
