These three agents all have curious pasts that will surely be an interesting arc in ZZZ.
HoYoverse has been on a roll since the beginning of the year. Even after releasing Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.5 mere days ago, the developer is already teasing three upcoming agents for Version 1.6.
These are Silver Soldier Anby from an unannounced faction, Pulchra from the Sons of Calydon, and Trigger, the second agent to finally join the Obol Squad after Soldier 11.
Silver Soldier Anby
Silver Soldier Anby seems to be an upgraded badass version of Anby Demara. Because this is an alternate version of Anby from the Cunning Hares, we can safely assume that she will be an S-rank version of the beloved F2P agent. She is set to join the roster as an Electric Attack unit.
Silver Soldier Anby’s eyes appear fiercer than her usually doe-eyed counterpart. Her outfit comes in orange, black, silver, and white colours, instead of green and black, and she wields dual katanas. With shorter hair, two sets of short pigtails and a black headband studded with a star, this version of Anby gives off a more serious superhero vibe.
Her agent record on the ZZZ website is even more curious, with quotes from General Chop, Nicole and Trigger.
“I don’t know… Seeing Anby back in this outfit stirs up such a mess of thoughts. Memories come rushing in like a piggy bank full of Dennies smashed open,” Nicole's quote reads. This means that Nicole has seen this version of Anby before.
General Chop’s quote seems to hint that two versions of Anby exist, if he's not referring to Soldier 11: “Sixth Street isn’t even that big—how has she never crossed paths with that spicy-food-loving girl?!”
Anby’s own quotes, however, suggest that they could be the same person: When she said that she was suiting up before the big battle, she also mentioned that it was a “classic movie trope." She also called burgers “truly remarkable,” which players will recognise as part of Anby Demara’s usual interests and quirks.
The most intriguing quote reads: “If Nicole asks, please cover for me.”
Pulchra Fellini
Old-timers of the game may recognise Pulchra as the Tiger Thiren from the rival mercenary group that tried to sabotage the Sons of Calydon in version 1.2’s Tour de Inferno.
Although initially introduced as an NPC, many players have been requesting for her to become a playable agent. Players are finally getting their wish, as Pulchra will join the roster as a Physical Stun agent. It looks like she’s joining the Sons of Calydon after getting truly scared by Burnice’s antics.
Her agent record hints at this when she was quoted as saying “My loyalty lies with the winner.” At this time, Caesar King is the overlord, and the Sons of Calydon is the dominating group in the Outer Ring. Also, a hilarious quote from a “crumpled medical record” brings players back to the time Burnice burnt Pulchra’s tail: “Minor burns. Doctor’s advice: No more BBQ for the big tail.”
Pulchra also seems to be an A-rank agent, because her marketing drip video is static (like Seth), unlike Silver Soldier Anby.
Trigger
The last to be revealed is Trigger, Obol Squad's second newest member and an Electric Stun agent.
Trigger’s design stands out with a unique twist. She wears a colour scheme similar to Soldier 11, but her jetpack-like device is positioned on the front rather than worn as a backpack like Soldier 11 and Anby. She also sports leggings, long, pale blonde hair, and a sword slightly similar to Soldier 11’s.
Unlike Soldier 11 who does her best to not have any emotions, Trigger seems to have a mysterious past, and a desire for vendetta. “I will find the true culprit behind the fall of the old capital and make them pay for what they’ve done” and “By letting the will to protect steer my hatred, I gain the crosshairs fixed on the truth” were some of her quotes in her agent record.
Soldier 11 also said that Trigger “rarely talks about her past” and hints at being the one who manages the Obol Squad’s “dorm.” Based on the current pattern of version releases and agent drips, these three characters will be released in Version 1.6. Hence, 1.6 will likely focus on Anby’s past, and shed light on the ever-mysterious Obol Squad.
