Genshin Impact’s upcoming version 5.3 update will introduce a few quality-of-life features for players to enjoy.
In the latest Developer’s Discussion blogpost for HoYoverse’s official internet forum HoYoLab released today, December 18, Genshin Impact’s upcoming version 5.3 was announced to introduce new features that Travelers will definitely enjoy. Here’s a breakdown of what was revealed:
Cross co-op mode
There’s no need to go through the complications of world join requests for Travelers with a World Level of 8 and 9, as they will be able to freely enter your friends’ worlds with ease! Additionally, the enemy levels and drops will be based on the World Level of the world you are currently in, allowing you to farm the loot you need without any worries.
Seamless, repeatable boss fights
We all know the struggle of farming overworld bosses, where you have to teleport away and wait for a good few minutes for the boss to refresh. Well in version 5.3, bosses will respawn immediately after you collect your hard-earned rewards, allowing you to continue the grind. No more waiting for you!
Artifact recommendation upgrades
To make building characters easier for players, Genshin Impact version 5.3 will cut down on the steps needed to look for suitable artifacts. The new update will add the following features:
- Highlighting recommended affixes;
- Ability to see the number of times each Minor Affix has been enhanced;
- All-in-one Artifact recommendations, where players will be able to view recently used artifacts via a “one-stop” interface, allowing to quickly filter through existing artifacts;
- ‘Use Recommended Order’ option will be added to the sorting menu, allowing for artifacts to be recommended based on compatibility with your characters;
And finally, after years and years of asking, the Artifact Inventory Limit has been increased, allowing Travelers to hoard up to 2,100 artifacts in their inventory. Thanks HoYo!
Genshin Impact Version 5.2 dropped on November 20 with Chasca and Lyney headlining the first half's banner runs, as well as additional content with a new map expansion, a new boss, and an Archon Quest Interlude. Genshin Impact's version 5.3 update will most likely drop in early January 2025, with the Pyro Archon Mavuika, Citlali, and Lan Yan debuting as playable characters.
