The Game Awards have announced the People’s Voice Award nominees, including HoYoverse games Genshin Impact and Zenless Zone Zero.
The Game Awards 2024 is getting ready to go into full swing, with the People’s Voice Award category now open for voting. Although we initially believed that HoYoverse’s fantasy RPG Genshin Impact isn’t getting any nominations this year, it looks like it isn't getting snubbed after all!
HoYoverse has two titles nominated for the People’s Voice Award category, that being Genshin Impact and Zenless Zone Zero, the latter only being released earlier this year. However, HoYoverse’s space fantasy title Honkai: Star Rail is not included in the list of nominees. Zenless Zone Zero has also been nominated for Best Mobile Game at The Game Awards.
Genshin Impact has been consistently nominated at The Game Awards since its release back in 2020, having been nominated for Best Mobile Game and Best Role Playing Game in that year, winning Best Mobile Game in 2021, winning Player’s Voice in 2022, and being nominated for Player’s Voice in 2023. Meanwhile, Honkai: Star Rail won Best Mobile Game last 2023.
From December 3 to December 4, 2024, fans will be able to vote for the game they feel deserves to win Player’s Voice at the official voting website. Genshin Impact Version 5.2 dropped on November 20 with Chasca and Lyney headlining the first half banner runs, as well as additional content with a new map expansion, a new boss, and an Archon Quest Interlude. The second half will feature reruns of Neuvillette and Zhongli, and will debut the Pyro Archon Mavuika as a new playable character alongside Citlali and Lan Yan in January 2025.
Zenless Zone Zero is currently in its Version 1.3 run, with new character Lighter heading the banner.
