Honkai: Star Rail nabs a win at the Golden Joystick Awards, the second win for HoYoverse’s space-fantasy RPG in this year’s awards season.
Honkai: Star Rail wins for the first time at the Golden Joystick Awards, topping the Still Playing-Mobile category for this year. The game was nominated for the Golden Joystick Awards’ Most Wanted category back in 2022.
This is the second award under Honkai: Star Rail’s belt for this year’s awards season, the first being Google Play best of 2024’s Best Ongoing Game Award. We’re sure that Trailblazers can expect some thank you freemojades in their inboxes sometime soon!
Honkai: Star Rail failed to garner any nominations for this year’s The Game Awards however, despite winning Best Mobile Game last year. With awards season in full swing, Zenless Zone Zero is the only HoYoverse title to gain a chance at distinction at The Game Awards with a nomination in the Best Mobile Game category.
That's a very good reason for players to keep playing Honkai: Star Rail as well, besides the recent Version 2.6 update, which was released on October 23 featuring a new 5-star character in Rappa.
Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.7 is set to release in December, featuring two highly-anticipated 5-star characters in Sunday and Tingyun's ‘Fugue’ form. The preview livestream for Version 2.7 is set to premiere this Friday (November 22), and is expected to reveal upcoming content for both Version 2.7 and Version 3.0.
Trailblazers can expect an upcoming major update to Honkai: Star Rail in 2025 with version 3.0. Not only will that major update see the release of the new world Amphoreus, but it will also mark the addition of a new playable Path in the Path of Remembrance. The game has already revealed its first two Remembrance characters in Aglaea and the Remembrance Trailblazer. Herta’s 5-star version The Herta will also be introduced in this update.
