Genshin Impact 5.2 to feature increased elemental reaction damage among other optimisations

Genshin Impact devs have revealed a number of major optimisations for players to enjoy in the upcoming version 5.2 update.

With version 5.2 right around the corner, Genshin Impact devs are set to further refine the player experience with a variety of quality-of-life changes and optimisations, which they broke down in the latest Developer’s Discussion released today, November 6.

Increased Base DMG for certain elemental reactions

Electro mains, it’s finally your time to shine! Starting from version 5.2, the base damage for the reactions Overloaded, Superconduct, Electro-Charged and Shatter will be getting a much-needed and well deserved increase. Although the updated multipliers are yet to be revealed, the devs have already implemented these changes on the version 5.2 test server, and will continue to observe the results.

Refined Treasure Compass feature

The craftable treasure compass is also set to get an update, and will now feature a wider range for treasure detection in version 5.2. The range will also include Time Trial Challenges and Seelie that are still waiting to be returned to their Seelie Courts.

Players will also be able to automatically swap Treasure Compasses and Oculus Resonance Stones based on the region once enabling the Quick Swap feature.

Auto-Lock feature for Artifacts upgraded

To make managing large quantities of artifacts easier for players, the devs will implement an optimisation to the auto-lock feature, which includes a Recommended Lock Plan and a General Lock Plan.

The Lock Plans will auto-lock any artifacts that meet the preset affixes based on common applications. A marking function, called Artifact Astral Mark, will also be implemented to aid in filtering your artifacts even further.

The Artifact Astral Mark will automatically lock artifacts and provide priority display in the artifacts list for players to easily locate them.

Artifacts will also be sorted in order of when they were obtained.

Other Optimisations:

Besides the increased base DMG of certain elemental reactions, refined Treasure Compass, and upgraded artifact organisation features, players can also expect these QoL changes:

  • Weapon amount, level and refinement rank information will now be displayed on the Forging, Shop and Battle Pass pages.
  • Wood will now be purchasable through the Realm Depot in your Serenitea Pot.
  • Special Guest Stars in Imaginarium Theatre will receive a 100% increase to their Blessing Level buff effects.
  • New character and boss tags will be added to the Performance Prep Stage for Imaginarium Theatre.
  • Starting December, a new Supporting Cast record feature will be implemented for Imaginarium Theatre.
