As part of the partnership, Samsung will provide sponsored devices for the finalists of the next two Free Fire World Series Southeast Asia tournaments.
Free Fire publisher Garena announced on Wednesday (August 14) that it has entered a multi-season partnership with smartphone giant Samsung Electronics for the Free Fire World Series (FFWS) Southeast Asia, with Samsung providing the official smartphones for the finalists in the FFWS Southeast Asia 2024 Fall and 2025 Spring tournaments.
The finalists for the next two FFWS Southeast Asia events will be equipped with the Galaxy S24 Ultra, one of Samsung’s latest flagship devices. This new regional partnership for Samsung in the Southeast Asian Free Fire scene follows recent tie-ups with local leagues in Indonesia and Brazil, which also saw the finalists receiving sponsored devices alongside the launch of co-branded packages and skins.
Garena and Samsung have positioned the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra as the premier device for Free Fire pros, with the smartphone boasting an immersive viewing experience on its 6.8-inch display alongside efficient performance from its 1-120 Hz adaptive refresh rates, and an optimal thermal control system.
“We are committed to providing outstanding gaming experiences to passionate gamers and are excited to announce our collaboration with Garena for the next two seasons of the Free Fire World Series Southeast Asia. We trust that this partnership will offer an epic gaming experience and fulfil the Galaxy brand's pledge of 'Life opens up with Galaxy',” VP Jung Suh, Head of Digital Commerce of Mobile eXperience Business at Samsung Electronics said in a press release.
