Call of Duty: Black Ops 6’s Zombies mode gets a new trailer.

Activision has released a new cinematic trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6’s Zombies mode, which takes players to a remote outpost in the Philippine Sea. The trailer was accompanied by more story details for the Zombies mode, featuring returning characters from Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Activision plans to give players a full gameplay breakdown of the mode on August 8.

Watch the trailer below:

Call of Duty Black Ops 6: Zombies brings the Terminus team back

Call of Duty Black Ops 6: Zombies is a direct sequel to Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War: Zombies, bringing members of the Requiem team back together more than five years later. In all this time, the team has been imprisoned at a remote outpost in the Philippine Sea before deciding to stage a breakout, with the help of a mysterious smuggler and a former adversary. Unfortunately, the team’s prison break is hampered by yet another zombie outbreak.

At the end of Black Ops Cold War, the Requiem team managed to close a portal and banish monstrous zombies back to the Dark Aether - only to be immediately arrested under the orders of Project Director Edward Richtofen. Black Ops 6 will continue the Dark Aether storyline, following ex-Requiem members stuck on a remote island outpost called Terminus in the Philippine Sea.

Grigori Weaver, Mackenzie ‘Mac’ Carver, Elizabeth Grey, Oskar Strauss, and Stoney Maddox return for this year’s iteration of the Zombies mode, all changed in some way by the five years they have spent in prison. They are joined by a young Filipina smuggler named Maya Aguinaldo and Dr. William Peck, who aid the team on a prison break.

Terminus Island will be the epicenter of another zombie outbreak, bringing the threat of the Dark Aether back to Earth. On the other side of the planet, a town in West Virginia called Liberty Falls will also see a similar outbreak. Activision will show off gameplay for the Zombies mode tomorrow, on August 8.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 launches on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC on October 25, 2024.
