Azure Ray are forced to undo some of their roster changes after their newest mid lane player fractured his elbow.
Earlier this month, Azure Ray announced a full restructure of the team. They let go three of their most experienced players and the team coach while trying to rebuild around newcomers. Jiaoyang “Ori” Zeng was among those who were replaced, his mid lane role being taken by Gu "Han" Jiahan, who has under two years of competitive experience. Han made his debut under the Supernova banner at the end of 2022. He qualified for the 2023 Dota Pro Circuit with Supernova and in 2024 he moved to Dark Horse.
He was brought to Azure Ray under a loan agreement with Dark Horse and was supposed to make his LAN debut this coming weekend, at the Clavision Snow Ruyi Invitational. Unfortunately, two days prior to the tournament, Azure Ray announced that he “accidentally fell and fractured his elbow.”
“Han has received the necessary medical treatment. According to the doctor's advice, he needs rest and recovery, so he cannot participate in the upcoming Clavision Snow Ruyi Invitational,” Azure Ray stated, adding that Ori will compete with the team in the $500,000 tournament as a stand-in.

Clavision Snow Ruyi Invitational is set to begin this coming Sunday, July 28 with ten teams fighting for the championship title and a share of the $500,000 prize pool. The tournament is most likely going to mark Azure Ray’s last big tournament until The International 2024 concludes. The Chinese representatives fell short this year of a place at TI, which was one of the main reasons for their roster overhaul.
