Early shuffle for Team Secret; BOOM out

Ahead of the typical post-TI shuffle, Team Secret is already making changes to the roster.

Immediately following TI2023, Team Secret took a disappointing 7-8th place finish at ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023.

They then failed to qualify for BetBoom Dacha 2024, took a dismal 11-12th place finish at DreamLeague Season 22, an even worse placement of 17-19th at Elite League just this last week, and failed to qualify for ESL One Birmingham 2024 and DreamLeague Season 23 — despite yet another roster change

Team Secret's disappointing year culminated with the organization (and Clement 'Puppey' Ivanov) falling short once again of obtaining a spot at The International. Much like in last year’s TI closed qualifiers, PSG.Quest took down Team Secret in the lower bracket rounds.

Now, ahead of the expected period of post-TI roster shuffles, Team Secret is already making a move.

Miroslav "BOOM" Bičan has once again parted ways with the WEU team. This marks his second stint with Secret coming to an end. He was part of the roster in December 2022-March 2023, only to return in November 2023 as part of the post-TI12 lineup.

Most fans would point to Remco "Crystallis" Arets as being part of the problem. He has been in the active roster since May of 2022 with little success and impact. However, he – for the time being – is still competing under the Team Secret banner.

There is still a full summer before The International 2024 kicks off in Copenhagen, so don't get too excited to hear about replacements or finalized lineups.

Team Secret current roster

Remco “Crystallis” Arets
Teng Tjin “Kordan” Yao
Clement “Puppey” Ivanov
