Team Spirit; 1win Series Dota 2 Summer champions

A new champion has been crowned in the 1win Series Dota 2 as Team Spirit overpower Gaimin Gladiators 3:1 in the grand finals. 

1win Series Dota 2 Summer kicked off today with 1winvsEntity fighting for the third place finish in the tournament. The defending champions took a clean sweep over 1win for the bronze pedestal ranking.

1win Series Dota 2 Summer kicked off today with 1winvsEntity fighting for the third place finish in the tournament. The defending champions took a clean sweep over 1win for the bronze pedestal ranking before moving onto the best-of-five championship brawl between Gaimin Gladiators and Team Spirit.

Both teams got to the grand finals without dropping a single match. Both took the first seed in their groups 2:0 for a place in the upper brackets for the playoffs and then overpowered their opponents 2:0 each to find their spot at the Grand Finals. 

A fairly even laning stage gave way to a slight advantage for Gaimin Gladiators in the first match – only for Team Spirit to snatch it away and run to a very quick victory. Team Spirit was lacking in their team fight and they had none of the back-line jump that they needed. Gaimin Gladiators sustained through the laning stage and then thrived, taking the win and resetting the score to even 1:1. 

The third match saw Team Spirit take back the series lead with a very broken chaos knight. A 19k gold lead got taken away in a single moment as did GG's chance at winning. 

The fourth game was incredibly clean for Team Spirit and not so much for Gaimin Gladiators. With no vision, GG made a big mistake trying to take Roshan which they were punished for.

• 1st place: $50,000 + LAN invite Team Spirit
• 2nd place: $30,000 Gaimin Gladiators
• 3rd place: $15,000 Entity 
• 4th place: $3,000 1win
