BetBoom Team are first Dota 2 team locked in for Esports World Cup

Consistency through the second season of ESL Pro Tour and no roster changes bring BetBoom Team enough points to become the first team locked in for the Riyadh Masters event at Esports World Cup 2024.

Riyadh Masters 2024 will take place sometime in July and it is the Dota 2 tournament part of the inaugural edition of Esports World Cup (EWC). A total of 20 Dota 2 teams will secure a spot at Riyadh Masters 2024. The top 8 teams on the ESL Pro Tour (EPT) will receive direct invites and will be joined by 12 more competitors coming from regional qualifiers.

While the exact dates and the prize pool for Riyadh Masters 2024 are yet to be announced, the event is promised to be “the biggest tournament esports has ever seen.”

ESL Pro Tour Season 2 consists of three DreamLeague events as well as two ESL One LAN tournaments. DreamLeague Season 21 and ESL One Kuala Lumpur took place towards the end of 2023 while DreamLeague Season 22 came to an end this past Sunday, March 10, 2024, with Team Falcons claiming the title.

BetBoom Team have played in all three EPT events so far and placed in the top 4 at each of them. Their best performance came this past week at DreamLeague Season 22, where they reached the grand finals and secured a total of 3,500 EPT points for their run.

• 4th place: 2,400 EPT points - ESL One Kuala Lumpur
• 2nd place: 3,500 EPT points - DreamLeague Season 22

After three EPT tournaments, BetBoom Team leads the charts with 7,500 points. They are also qualified for the upcoming ESL One Birmingham, the second LAN on the EPT calendar and for DreamLeague Season 23.

The next pit stop in the ESL Pro Tour is ESL One Birmingham, which will take place April 22-28 with 12 teams competing for a share of the $1,000,000 prize pool and 26,640 EPT points.
