BetBoom Team and Nigma Galaxy first eliminated at BetBoom Dacha

Eight teams traveled this week to Armenia’s capital city Yerevan to participate at BetBoom Dacha, but only six are heading now to the playoffs stage.

With The International 2023 (TI12) set to begin on the 12th of October, some of the top teams in the world are looking this month to get as much competitive experience on the 7.34c patch. BetBoom Dacha is held this week in an offline setup, behind closed doors offering the teams exactly what they would want the most in this month leading to TI.

BetBoom Team are one of the 20 teams heading to TI12, but their early exit is worrisome, especially coming after a season with underwhelming LAN results. The EEU representatives secured their place at TI through regional league placements in all three tours. At the three Majors this year, they came in as one of the favourites but failed to pass the group stage at each of the Majors.

A month before the most important tournament of the year, they exit the BetBoom Dacha bottom two along with Nigma Galaxy. They also end the tournament empty handed as the $250,000 prize pool is split only between the top four.

While the group stage matches are done and dusted and two teams have already been eliminated, the playoff seeding is far from being sorted out in Yeveran. The top three teams in Group A are all tied with 1-1-1 series score and the first round of tiebreaker matches held last night didn’t break the tie.

Team Secret, Evil Geniuses and TSM will go for another round of bo1 duels to determine who starts the playoffs in the upper bracket and who heads to the lower bracket. In group B, only Gaimin Gladiators have already secured one of the upper bracket spots. 9Pandas and beastcoast will also play a tiebreaker match today before starting the playoffs to determine who goes where.

The tiebreaker rounds are scheduled to begin at 12:00 CEST followed by the upper bracket semifinals.
