Two players of the TI10 ViCi Gaming roster have registered with a new team for the next season and are bound to start the road to The International 11 from the China Lower Division of the first Dota Pro Circuit.
Although ViCi Gaming did not make any official announcement yet regarding their roster and their plans for the next competitive year, two of their members will reunite with Zhang "Eurus" Chengjun, who has changed his nickname back to Paparazi. This means that VG have lost both their supports in the post TI10 shuffle and are currently down to three members, with Yang "poyoyo" Shaohan, Zeng "Ori" Jiaoyang and Ren "eLeVeN" Yangwei still officially on the roster.
VG’s Xiong "Pyw"' Jiahan and Ding "Dy" Cong locked themselves on Valve’s official registration page under the Xtreme Gaming tag, along with Paparazi, who now is free of any contractual ties after Elephant disbanded their Dota 2 team. They are joined by two players previously listed on Sparking Arrow Gaming’ roster, Sun “Srf” Runfa and Wang “J” Wenjun.
According to the Chinese tradition of believing that by changing the name, the luck changes as well, Srf and Pyw will compete in the next DPC under new nicknames. Srf changed to AVA 阿发, while Pyw is now Tank.
The five of them will play for Xtreme Gaming, who hold a spot in the China Regional League, but in the lower division. They will have to finish top two in the first Tour, which will unfold between November 29 – January 23, 2022, in order to promote in the upper division of the second Tour. This basically means that they will have no chance at reaching the first Major of the next DPC year.
Xtreme Gaming roster:
Wenjun “J” Wang
Chengjun “Paparazi灬” Zhang
Sun “Srf” Runfa
