Vici Gaming leaks The International 9 dates

One of four teams to secure a spot at The International 9, Vici Gaming revealed on Weibo that they already have knowledge of the dates for the annual event.

Back in August 2018, Valve announced that for the first time in the history of The International, the next iteration would be held outside of North America, in Shanghai, China, although the exact dates on which the event will happen is yet to be officially disclosed.

The Chinese esports powerhouse Vici Gaming, however, seems to have their early access on the information, as they made a surprising reveal on their Weibo of the schedule to TI9, and called for Dota fans to mark the dates:

Translated:

According to inside information, the timetable to TI9 is out! Group stage: 8.16~8.18, playoffs: 8.20~8.25. Please adjust your work/study arrangements accordingly in order to enjoy the matches to the fullest :D

Currently ranked 3rd in the DPC system of the 2018~2019 Season, Vici Gaming is among the first 4 teams to secure entrance to TI9, together with Team Secret, Virtus Pro and Evil Geniuses. All four teams have secured the required 3691 points so far. There are still two more sets of DPC events to determine the remaining spots - with OGA Dota PIT Minor happening now. Eight more teams will secure their place by the end of June with EPICENTER Major being the last stop.

Valve will bring the biggest Dota 2 event of the year to the Mercedes Benz Arena in Shanghai, China —home of infamous Shanghai Major of 2016.  The venue is an indoor arena located on the former grounds of Expo 2010 in Pudong, Shanghai, China, with a seating capacity for 18,000 people.
