Boom ID will head to Bucharest Minor

Indonesia will have a team representing the SEA region for the Bucharest Minor as Boom ID prevail in the qualifiers.

The SEA regional qualifiers for the Bucharest Minor have come to an end as a smaller known regional team from Indonesia ended up seizing the highly coveted place for the first DPC 2018-2019 minor of the new year.

Only four teams participated in the event. Boom ID and Mineski were directly invited to the event while Clutch Gaming and WarriorsGaming.Unity had qualified. Many fans believed it was a sure thing for Mineski. The SEA team had narrowly missed out on attending the Chongqing Major, taking third place when only two teams advanced. They had also missed out on each of the other DPC events of the year so far and took a disappointing 11-12th place finish at ESL One Hamburg 2018

However, it was Boom ID that knocked Mineski into the lower brackets with a 2:0 sweep and then Clutch Gaming who would eliminate the SEA team completely with another 2:0 sweep. In the finals, Clutch Gaming took on Boom ID in an all-out battle that lasted a full three games to determine the winner.

The Bucharest Minor will take place between January 9-13th 2019 at the PGL Studios studios in Bucharest, Romania.

Bucharest Minor Prize pool:
Total: $300,000

  • 1st – $125,000 +120 DPC
