The first LAN of the new season is drawing close to an end with only Fnatic and Team Secret left to battle it out for the PVP Esports Championship title.
The playoffs were a quick affair at the PVP Esports Championship earlier today in Singapore. Both sets of semi-finals were heavily one-sided and ended in successive 2:0 clean sweeps.
While many were not surprised to see Fnatic trample over the Filipino qualifier winners Team Admiral, it was the Team Secret vs PSG.LGD series that shocked spectators. Not only did Secret clearly dominate the games, they played out with flawless execution and perfect precision. Both games were over in 20 minutes or less and the Europeans never let their Chinese opponents have a fighting chance.
There is one day left for one team to claim the first trophy and title of the new season. Fnatic and Secret will go head to head tomorrow, 10:00 CEST in a best-of-five grand finals. In their first meeting in the group stage the game was exciting and filled with peaks and valleys with Fnatic coming out on top at the end. Fans have a highly contested series to look forward to if both teams show up ready to throw down.
