The first round of the American qualifiers saw the European based squad move into the regional qualifiers. While Vegetable Esports Club lick their wounds, there is no doubt we will see some of the members as talent at the Major.
With some controversy over their registration, from their crushing performance against VEC and in the previous rounds, Prodota Gaming proved that they are a force to be reckoned. On the road to the finals, Prodota defeated a renewed EverNovaS--who previously had SumaiL's brother on the roster, along with Soggy Mitts.
While VEC had a commendable performance, especially with some insane armlet toggling from Quinn 'CC&C' Callahan in game two, the EU squad simply overwhelmed the caster crew--taking a page from WarriorsGaming.Unity in SEA Open qualifier #1with a well executed Drow-Sniper combo in game two.
Prodota join the rest of the invited teams in the American qualifier along with the winner of the second Americas qualifier. The second Americas qualifier is set to start in just around 14 hours. If you haven't registered however, don't lose hope, you can still register in the last 30 minutes of check-in and hopefully make it in (given that there is space of course). You can register for the last American Open qualifier here.
While Prodota Gaming avoided the heavily stacked EU qualifier, they still have to deal with a host of skilled teams in the regional qualifier.
