The Chinese squad Immortal Magneto Gaming has announced the acquisition of the legendary Chinese solo mid player Bu 'YaphetS' Yanjun. The transfer marks YaphetS's return in competitive DotA2, two years after his previous appeareance with the third roster of TongFu.
The Chinese veteran Bu 'YaphetS' Yanjun, also known as 'PIS', is about to make his comeback in competitive DotA2 after several years of absence. According to the Chinese social media, YaphetS has joined the upcoming squad Immortal Magneto Gaming, known from their recent unsuccessful attempts in the qualifiers of The Summit 3, D2CL and DAC. This is a rather ambitious move by Yanjun, as none of his new teammates are particularly accomplished in the Chinese and international competitive scene.
Up until now, YaphetS mostly focused on streaming WC3 DotA, but he did make some brief appearances in DotA2 tournaments and showmatches. He was a member of the third squad of Tongfu (named Tongfu-3) that was formed only for the Korean competition Nexon Invitational Supermatch, which they won with ease. While YaphetS's skill and experience are doubted by noone, his career has always been overshadowed by his bad reputation and, presumably, his lack of interest in DotA2. However, it seems that the player has decided to take the game seriously once again, as shown by his recent climb of the Chinese MMR leaderboards (he is currently ranked 3rd in the continent with around 7,4k MMR).
