The map veto went as expected. After both the teams removed all maps from the pool, the only remaining was de_cache. Cache is a map where both teams feel comfortable on. Not long ago, we saw them meet up on this map at Gfinity Summer Masters I LAN event where nV managed to take a 16-12 win.

The match started really well for the French team as they showed a very strong and disciplined defense. They were changing the pace in each round which allowed them to catch Cloud9 off guard. However, as the seventh round of this match started, Cloud9 finally woke up. From this point on, everything worked out for the North American team as they quickly got themselves back to tied position at 7-7. nV was forced to play the last round of the first half with only pistols, but they still put the eighth up on the scoreboard for the 8-7 lead. The second half saw the same start as the first one. nV won the pistol round and were up 13-7, but as Cloud9 took the big guns out they started climbing back into this match. At 13-13 scoreline, nV was forced to call for the time out, but even this move didn't help for Happy and co. as they just got crashed by Cloud9's defense. The final score was 16-13.

The next match of this group will feature Virtus.pro and Cloud9 in the winners match, while EnVyUs will meet Luminosity Gaming in the elimination match. The winners match is scheduled to start at 18.00 CEST, while the losers match should start at 19.00 CEST. However, the starting time might vary due to delays of the group B matches.
