Riot has hinted in its latest teaser that they will be releasing a new map any time soon.
Riot released a teaser that a new map will most likely be released during the VALORANT Champions 2023. There were a lot of hints dropped for the map in the recent weeks leading to the newest trailer.
The addition of the new map coincides with the tournament of the year. It looks like the map will debut in the Champions stage.
In the trailer posted by VALORANT, it featured Cypher and Deadlock talking about a hidden location that poses a danger. Deadlock immediately told Cypher to inform Brimstone of their discovery.
The new map is allegedly located in Los Angeles, California. Fans saw a quick shot of the map’s location in the recent trailer. To support this theory, the coordinates in the in-game emails also pointed to Los Angeles.
The Golden Hour banner in the current battle pass features the street of Los Angeles. Riot is known for teasing new maps in the player cards of the battle pass so fans are always on the lookout for any easter egg.
“El Dorado” is the code name of the map in the in-game files which is leaked by a famous data miner. Although, there is no official name announced yet.
Los Angeles is also the hometown of the latest agent, Gekko. It is also the venue for the highly awaited tournament of the year VALORANT Champions 2023.
The group stage has concluded and eight teams will battle it out for a chance to get the prestigious title and a chunk of the whopping $2.25 million prize pool.
Alongside the rumors of the new map, a new bundle is also leaked. The Daydreams bundle features a Phantom, Judge, Operator, Classic, and Scythe melee. The new skin line does not have a finisher or special animation which makes it more affordable than premium bundles.
