Paper Rex are the VALORANT Masters Toronto champions, having defeated
Fnatic 3–1 in the Grand Finals held on 23 June.
Coming in as the third seed from VCT Pacific, Paper Rex began their campaign in the Swiss Stage and battled their way into the Playoffs. Once there, they tore through the upper bracket with back-to-back sweeps, first taking down tournament favourites G2 Esports, then dispatching
Sentinels 2–0. In the upper bracket final, they once again delivered a clean 2–0 against
Wolves Esports to secure their spot in the grand finals without dropping a single map.
Fnatic, on the other hand, entered the event as the top seed from VCT EMEA and were placed directly into the Playoffs. However, their run began with a setback, falling 2–1 to Gen.G Esports in the upper bracket quarterfinals. From there, they mounted an impressive lower bracket run by squeezing past
Rex Regum Qeon 2–1, eliminating Sentinels 2–1, and sweeping G2 Esports 2–0. In the lower bracket finals, they delivered a convincing 3–1 win against Wolves Esports to book a rematch with Paper Rex in the grand finals.
Paper Rex defeat Fnatic to win Masters Toronto
Fnatic opened the series with momentum, taking the first four rounds on Sunset. However, Paper Rex quickly adapted, stringing together a commanding streak to close the half 8–4. In the second half, Fnatic bounced back with sharp coordination and a seven-round haul, nearly evening the score. But Paper Rex kept their nerve, winning five crucial rounds to close out the map 13–11 and take the early lead.
The battle on Icebox was a nail-biter from start to finish. The first half ended deadlocked at 6–6, with both sides trading blow for blow. The trend continued in the second half as neither team could pull ahead, once again ending in a 6–6 stalemate and forcing the map into overtime. The OT rounds stretched long, with clutches and trades defining the tempo. Eventually, it was Fnatic who held firm in the high-pressure moments, edging out Paper Rex 17–15 to equalise the series 1–1.
Pearl began with Fnatic in control, who built a solid 7–5 lead at halftime through coordinated site executions and strong post-plant holds. But Paper Rex came out of the break swinging. Adopting a hyper-aggressive defensive setup and clinical retakes, they flipped the momentum in the second half with an 8–3 run, punishing Fnatic’s attempts to close the map. With a 13–10 win, Paper Rex took back the series lead at 2–1, taking their team to match point
The fourth game on Lotus was just as intense, with Paper Rex taking the first game . However, Fnatic caught up to them in the second half, and both teams ended up with a tie after the European team took the second half 7-5, extending the game to another overtime. After an intense back-and-forth, it was Paper Rex that pulled through winning the game 14-12, and the series to secure the championship title.
With their victory, Paper Rex claim the VALORANT Masters Toronto championship title, which is also their first international VALORANT title, taking home US$350,000 and earning 7 VCT points in the process.

Jason “f0rsakeN” Susanto was notably named the MVP of the tournament for being a key player of Paper Rex, and dominating across multiple roles in the tournament. Meanwhile Fnatic finish their tournament run in second place, taking home US$200,000 in consolation.
