Fnatic will face Wolves Esports at the lower bracket finals on Saturday while G2 bow out of the competition in fourth place.
Paper Rex have become the first team to lock in their place in the grand finals of VALORANT Masters Toronto after sweeping
Wolves Esports 2-0 in the upper bracket finals. The Pacific squad remain unbeaten in the Playoffs and now await their final opponent.
Meanwhile, Fnatic continue their climb through the lower bracket. The EMEA side extended their tournament run with a 2-0 victory over
G2 Esports in the lower bracket semifinals, knocking out one of the event’s strongest contenders and keeping their title hopes alive.
Paper Rex dispatch Wolves 2-0 to reach grand finals

Paper Rex and Wolves Esports both qualified for the Playoffs as the final two teams from the Swiss Stage, but have since far exceeded expectations. PRX stunned tournament favourites G2 Esports with a clean 2-0, then knocked out VCT Americas representatives Sentinels to secure their Upper Bracket Final spot. Wolves, on the other hand, dismantled Pacific frontrunners
Rex Regum Qeon in a 2-0 sweep before doing the same to Gen.G.
In their upper bracket finals clash, Paper Rex opened the series with a tightly contested match on Lotus. Wolves, who had previously looked shaky on the map, came out swinging with a solid attack half, leading 7-5.
But PRX’s own attack was just as effective, and with Ahmad Khalish Rusyaidee “d4v41” Bin Nordin’s consistent multi-frags and smart utility on Vyse, they brought the game to overtime and closed it out 14-12.
Ascent, Wolves’ map pick, saw the momentum swing entirely in Paper Rex’s favour. PRX delivered a defensive masterclass, with Ilya “Something” Petrov dominating on Jett, his deadly Operator and Shorty combo proving especially effective, as they closed the half 8-4. Wolves couldn’t recover after the side swap, struggling to hold sites even with a double Sentinel setup. PRX closed out the map 13-8 to take the series 2-0.
Paper Rex advance to the grand finals, scheduled for 22 June at 9:00 AM PST / 23 June at 1:00 AM SGT.
Fnatic survive once more with win over G2 Esports 2-0

Fnatic’s lower bracket run continued with a 2-0 sweep over G2 Esports, eliminating VCT America from the tournament. Both teams had entered the Playoffs as direct invites, but G2 were sent to the lower bracket early by PRX. They bounced back with wins over XLG Esports and Gen.G, both via clean sweeps, to reach the semifinals.
Fnatic followed a similar trajectory, having lost to Gen.G 1-2 in the upper bracket quarterfinals. They battled through a tight 2-1 series against RRQ, then outlasted Sentinels in another three-map thriller to reach this stage.
G2 opted to open the semifinal on Lotus, a map where Fnatic have historically looked comfortable. Both sides, however, struggled with consistency. Fnatic began with momentum but allowed several rounds to slip away, while G2 faltered with questionable utility usage in key moments. The back-and-forth half ended level at 6-6.
In the second half, Fnatic made an aggressive call by investing in an early Operator, only for G2 to capitalise and turn the weapon against them. Despite the setback, Fnatic regrouped after a crucial timeout. With sharper executes and individual heroics, they regained control of the map and closed out Lotus 13-10 to secure the series 2-0.
Fnatic will face Wolves Esports in the Lower Bracket Final on 21 June at 8:00 AM PST / 22 June at 12:00 AM SGT. The winner will go on to challenge Paper Rex for the title.
Meanwhile, G2 bow out of the competition in fourth place, taking home US$75,000 and 3 VCT Points in consolation.
