The casting duo of MLG has amicably parted ways with the organization, which in turn leaves questions on what MLG's future StarCraft 2 plans will entail.
Alex "Axeltoss" Rodriguez and Nick "Axslav" Ranish became part of MLG in 2012, anchoring the MvP Invitational from the New York studio. The duo are most known for their co-casting of MLG Spring Championship '13 and WCS America Season 1 when MLG were still producing content for Blizzard's circuit.
Coupled with MLG's plans to not run StarCraft 2 at the upcoming MLG Columbus as well as WCS's production rights being with NASL, the departure of Rodriguez and Ranish raises the question whether or not StarCraft 2 content will return to MLG streams in the future. While there is still no official announcement of MLG's and Axslav's future SC2 plans, Alloy Esports report that Axeltoss does have the intention to stay in the scene.
“One thing I do know is that I want to be involved and help eSports as much as possible, wherever I end up,” says Axeltoss and continues: “There are soooo many jobs behind the scenes that need to be filled. eSports need help. I want to be in a position to help the most”.
