China's best in invitational tournament

Yet another Starcraft tournament has been announced, this time it’s SteelSeries Starcraft Chinese Invitational hosted by team Fnatic. Eight top of the line Chinese players will compete to get their hands on some nice hardware prizes. The list of the chosen ones features quite a heavyweight crowd, from Never, who you’ve probably seen on GOMtv Intel Classic, to Beijing CEG 2006 champion “Super”, the king of IEF Beijing 2006 “Jaystar” and our beloved PJ. There is simply no need to go over every player’s achievements so here they are:

In the Terran corner: Zhang "Super" Lu Ming, Ye Rong "Never" Long and Zhuang "Phoenix" Chuan Hai.
In the Protoss corner: Jun "PJ" Chun Sha, Ding "JayStar" Wei and Liu "LoveTT" Yin.
Fighting for the Zerg: Sun "F91" Yi Feng and Liu "LBH" Bo Hao.

The format of the tournament is quite simple: single elimination, Group Stage, Quarter and Semi-finals as well as the match for the third place – Bo5, Finals – Bo7.

Maps are pre-selected by the players from this pool: Tau Cross, Andromeda, Sin Chupung-Ryeong, Neo Harmony, Colosseum II, Loki II, Athena, Destination, Blue Storm and Medusa.

Prizes include a SteelSeries Siberia Full-Size Headset, SteelSeries QCK, Fnatic Limited Edition Mouse pad for first prize. Second place will grant a SteelSeries Ikari Optical Mouse, a SteelSeries QCK and a Fnatic Limited Edition Mouse pad. The third place grants a SteelSeries QCK and a Fnatic Limited Edition Mouse pad.

And best of all, there will be live web streaming with commentary, and later - VODs and replays. The first Group Stage match, featuring “Never” vs. “LoveTT”, will be played on April 11th, the rest will follow with a two week break in-between the games.
