A new tool has been released, called the Penguin Plug, made by none other than superpenguin. It is a multi-tool that acts like a chat logger plugin so that the chat messages in games you play can be saved in the replay. It also has other interesting features. The program is available at Starcraftdream.com.
A new program is out, made by superpenguin. It emulates existing chat loggers but with a plus. For one it allows a user to see the text replayed in a replay for the chat that occurred during the game, but it has other features that the maker has added. In the past with chat loggers, one usually had to remit oneself to reviewing the chat in a text file but this programs inserts the information to the replay. Read ahead and find out what other features it offers. Let me quote the author from a post he left on his site.
Since the last 3 weeks I spent a lot of time programming and here is the result... I wrote a pluggin for SC, the main features are:
Replay with text (save the chat during the game in the replay, and show it when you watch it)
Anti-hack system (disturb a particular map-hack and protect against freeze-hack)
It has not been completely tested and might not work especially on windows 9x/me series. It is still beta and might contain bugs, if you find some, please report them. I will try to fix them. I will announce it on TL & SG if I get enough successful usage reports here.

Similar versions of the anti-hack offered that is included in the program can be found in several other dubious programs peddled amongst hack makers and hack users. Why would hack makers make such similar tools? Well believe it or not most hackers don’t like being hacked against, so some of them make such anti-hacks.
It effectively ruins the hack for users that use that specific map hack. Most die hard map hackers already avoid it. Still you're bound to get a newbie hacker whom you would probably beat anyways even with his advantage and without the Penguin Plug.
Particularly if you're not comfortable usually with third party programs I suggest for you to wait for the more "experimental" ones in the community to test it first. The other advantage of waiting is that by the time you decide to use it (or not), most the serious bugs, if any, will be resolved. So why then did I go against my initial impulse? Well, for one it is already news in several sites including the mother of all sources, Teamliquid.net, and secondly superpeguin in a stroke of brilliance mentions me in his readme file. I feel a little shame for falling for such flattery but alas, who here among you does not show some weakness to flattery?
The readme file of his program can be found at » ste.gnux.info. The program is offered for download at » poinsart.gnux.info. The author of the tool offers you to send him feedback should you try it.If you have some ideas, comments, questions, feel free to ask me by email [email protected], or I also spend some time in » starcraftdream.com forums
There is also a chat logger, replay bugfix and anti-freeze "hack" updated for 1.11b. This "hack" is made by perhaps one of the more honorable of hack makers, and perhaps one of the most knowledgeable persons about the Starcraft code outside of Blizzard, dt, which of course I will not link. Not because I am personally against his tool, but because his site also offers abominations to any self respecting fog of war worshiper.
