OG to trial Ulnit, Davai Lama, and Kidaro in DreamLeague Season 26 Open Qualifiers

OG’s new lineup with three trial players will debut in the upcoming DreamLeague Season 26 Open Qualifiers.

Just a day after parting ways with three members of its Dota 2 roster, renown organisation OG announced the players who will fill the vacant spots. The team has brought in European players Stefan “Ulnit” Gavrila, Cedric “Davai Lama” Deckmyn, and Ivan “Kidaro” Bondarev as trial members. These new additions will join Leon “Nine” Kirilin and Tamir “daze” Tokpanov ahead of the team’s next event, the DreamLeague Season 26 qualifier.

OG’s full Dota 2 roster is as follows:

  1. Stefan “Ulnit” Gavrila (trial)
  2. Leon “Nine” Kirilin
  3. Cedric “Davai Lama” Deckmyn (trial)
  4. Tamir “daze” Tokpanov
  5. Ivan “Kidaro” Bondarev (trial)
  6. Maurice “KheZu” Gutmann (coach)

OG begin rebuild with three trial players

This marks yet another round of an OG rebuild as the storied organisation struggles to achieve decent results. The community also had mixed reactions to the new lineup, as most members now have little to no achievement and experience.

OG's new carry player, Ulnit, is a relatively fresh face in the competitive scene, having started his career in 2021. The 21-year old has previously played for several moderately known teams, including Geek Fam and Team Tickles. Most recently, he spent nine months with MOUZ, which didn’t see any impressive results other than Tier 3 victories.

Davai Lama is one of the more decorated players joining the crew, already solidifying his offlane repute during his year-long tenure with HEROIC. With the South American squad, Davai Lama won the championship of PGL Wallachia Season 2, notably taking down a formidable Team Falcons in the grand finals. However, he hasn’t seen any success since departing the team.

OG's new position 5 player, Kidaro, is known in the Tier 2 scene of the Eastern European region, having played for teams like PuckChamp, B8, and most recently, Alliance. The 26-year old also competed with Night Pulse, where he teamed up with Davai Lama to win the Tier 3 event CCT Series 7 three weeks ago.

This roster iteration could be a new era for OG, or it could turn out to be another unfruitful attempt at reshaping the team. Only time will tell, and their next challenge is already on the horizon. The new OG roster will compete in the DreamLeague Season 26 Western Europe Open Qualifier, which starts on Friday (28 March).
