Arcane Season 2’s latest poster offers a clever callback to Season 1.
Netflix is reminding fans of its animated League of Legends series Arcane that Season 2 is just five months away, with the help of a clever new poster. The ominous poster features sisters Vi and Jinx in tight embrace, with a clever callback to a poster for Season 1. Jinx looks more unhinged than ever here, hinting that we won’t see a happy reunion between these siblings next season.

New poster released for Arcane Season 2
We now have a new poster for Arcane Season 2, which begins streaming on Netflix sometime this November. The poster features a fearful Vi in Jinx’s cold, but not unloving, embrace. This artwork also cleverly mirrors an earlier poster for Season 1, which saw Vi hug Jinx during their younger years. Obviously, the siblings’ shared relationship has deteriorated quite a bit since then.
This poster also hints a much darker tone for Season 2, which lines up with where this series last left off with its characters. Many of them are either dead or traumatised, and the dangers they sought to eliminate - or propagate - haven’t been eliminated entirely yet. A recently-released teaser for Season 2 also hinted that Vi and Jinx’s father figure Vander might return as a familiar League of Legends champion: Warwick.
Vander had sacrificed himself to save Vi in Season 1 by injecting himself with a substance called Shimmer, which transforms people into animal-like monsters. However, he died before the transformation was complete - or so we thought! In the new teaser, it’s confirmed that the scientist Singed has begun experimenting on Vander’s mutilated corpse, which is now showing signs of twisted life.
Netflix released this poster with a teaser that, “Nothing ever stays dead,” which all but confirms that we’ll see a tragic reunion between Vander-Warwick, Vi and Jinx this season. In the last season finale, Jinx forced Vi to choose between Caitlyn or herself - but Vi refused to choose and in the midst of that chaos, Silco attempted to kill Vi. Jinx killed Silco to save her sister, but it came at the expense of their relationship and the acceptance that she was now on a different, slightly more murderous, path.
Arcane Season 2 hits Netflix this November.
