All-Chinese podium at WCG 2012

Ted, Fly100% and Sky top the World Cyber Games tournament in Kunshan, China.

In the eight-player tournament of the World Cyber Games grand final in Kunshan, The three Chinese players Ted, Fly100% and Sky have taken all three podium positions. Participating players came from China, South Korea, Poland and Russia.

In the group phase it was still Moon who went through undefeated as the only player. He defeated Sky in his group A, while group B had a three-way-tie with Lyn, Fly100% and Ted, in which Lyn took the worse end after all.

Both Paladyn from Poland as well as HwaK from Russia did not win any match in the group phase. ReMinD took the unsatisfying position 3 in group A. This way, it was only Moon to hold up South Korea's flag in the race for medals at WCG.

Moon all-kill in group phase, but unsuccessful in playoffs

The playoffs however did not give Moon the ideal outcome. First he lost against Ted in the semi final with a straight 0-2 and later did not even claim bronze medal in the third-place-decider against Sky where he lost 1-2.

In the grand final, Ted was able to beat Fly100% with a 2-1 score. This is the first gold medal of a Chinese player at WCG Warcraft 3 since 2009, when infi claimed first place over Fly100%. In the last two competitions, it was ReMinD and Lyn taking gold to South Korea.
