Team Liquid officially joined the MLBB scene by acquiring the former AURA/ECHO team in Indonesia and the Philippines.
Team Liquid officially joins the MLBB scene by acquiring STUN.GG, the owner of AURA/ECHO team that competes in Indonesia and the Phillippines. This includes all of the MDL, ladies, and Talent divisions. The social media of respective brands made the announcement, with AURA also making a video-based announcement on their YouTube channel.
The acquisition was made in surprise as it simultaneously confirmed what Yawi confessed on stage. He will not play for AURA anymore as he will now play for Team Liquid. This also makes what Pahlevi said true in the press conference as Yawi will not leave AURA or STUN.GG as a whole.
This will be the first time Team Liquid joins the MLBB scene, and they will need little time to introduce themselves as they already acquired a well-established team in their respective region. The former AURA Fire player will compete in the MPL Indonesia Season 13 playoff, and ECHO will also compete in the MPL Philippines Season 13 playoff.
The respective team will be called Liquid Aura for the Indonesia region and Liquid Echo for the one competing in the Philippines. This is also the case for both the MPL and MDL divisions. Liquid Aura will face EVOS Glory in the MPL Indonesia Season 13 Playoff, while Liquid ECHO will compete against RSG Phillippines in the upper bracket.
The MPL Phillippines Season 13 playoff will start on May 22nd, 2024, with Blacklist International facing EVOS Minana. The MPL Indonesia S13 playoff will start on June 6th, 2024.
