MLBB: The Wildcard Tournament is nearly here

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang is getting ready to wrap up the year, with the M5 World Championship – but this week our eyes are on the Wildcard Tournament.

We are almost at the culmination of the MLBB year, with the M5 World Championship just around the corner, but before we get there, two teams remain to qualify through the Wildcard Tournament. This tournament begins this week, on Thursday, November 23rd, and we will all be turning our attention to that, and the eight teams involved this coming week.

The Wildcard is upon us

Having already seen the Groups for the Wildcard Tournament drawn, all that we have left to do is wait out the last few days until the first part of our M5 journey begins. The eight teams involved will be ready to fight in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia at the JioSpace Arena – with only two that will stand tall at the end and reach the main event of M5. With many regions having their international debut on the global MLBB stage; namely China, Nepal, and Mongolia, this event is sure to be extremely exciting for everyone involved.

From Thursday through to Saturday, the eight teams will play in a single round-robin within their groups, with all games being a best-of-three series. Following this, the top two teams from each group will face off against one another in a crossover match on Sunday, November 26, which will determine which two teams reach M5’s main event. Unfortunately for the remaining six teams, their tournament will come to a crushing end, and they will have to look to next year in hopes of returning.

The eight teams involved in the M5 Wildcard are:

4Merical Esports
Niightmare Esports
Team Falcons
Team SMG

Imperio
KeepBest Gaming
Team Lilgun
Umbrella Squad

We will have a further breakdown of the two groups in the coming days leading up to the start of the Wildcard Tournament and you can stay tuned to our MLBB channel to find out all the information, results, and team news from this event and the M5 World Championship itself which will kick off early in December.
