Marvel Rivals gets new "big head mode" called Giant-Size Brain Blast

As if Jeff the Land Shark wasn’t already 99% head.

Marvel Rivals has unveiled a rather unconventional new game mode called Giant-Size Brain Blast. This is essentially the game’s take on a “big head mode,” swelling up its characters’ heads for a lampooned shooter experience. Players will also be able to earn cosmetics by participating in the mode, and compete for a place in its leaderboards.

Marvel Rivals unveils Giant-Size Brain Blast mode

Marvel Rivals’ latest limited-time game mode is Giant-Size Brain Blast, where up to 12 players compete in matches for a unique Brain Blast emote and title rewards. The mode enlarges all player characters’ heads to MODOK-like sizes, although it suspiciously lacks the aforementioned Marvel baddie himself.

10 matches can be completed to earn the Brain Blast emote. The event will run for two rounds in total, with the first round beginning on 25 April, and the second round beginning on 2 May. In both rounds, titles rewards will be given to players who place in the top 500, top 100, and top 10 slots of the final leaderboard for each hero.

Marvel Rivals kicks off new video series Art Vision

If you’ve been curious about NetEase Games’ artistic approach to creating the world of Marvel Rivals, here’s some more good news. Starting this week, the developer is kicking an Art Vision video series that dives into the game’s art design. The first episode, entitled Art Vision Vol. 01-The Genesis of Style, is now live on YouTube.

Recently, Marvel Rivals also introduced costume recolours for specific hero skins.
