As the next season of the Mobile Legends Professional League approaches for multiple regions, teams are beginning to make their moves to secure players for their rosters. Unfortunately for Falcon Esports, a few weeks ago, they announced that the team would be disbanding, but this meant that the highly acclaimed players from the Myanmar squad were open to moving around. Having already seen Min Ko “Naomi” Ko heading over to Indonesia to join Rex Regum Qeon, Zippy (Kyaw “Zippx” Zin Bo) is confirmed to be joining the Malaysian roster of Team Lunatix.
Having joined Falcon in early 2022, Zippy and his squad quickly rose to fame throughout the year, securing wins in a few regional tournaments before qualifying for the M4 World Championships – where they eventually finished in a stellar fifth/sixth place. Fast forward to 2023, where Falcon failed to qualify for the recently completed Mobile Legends Southeast Asia Cup while finishing third as a region in the 32nd SEA Games. It was at this point that the team’s disbandment news was released, leaving Zippy to find a new home.
Zippy joins Team Lunatix after they performed admirably during MPL MY Season 11, finishing in fourth place after being knocked out by Team SMG in the lower bracket semi-finals. Bringing in a player with M-series experience could be the perfect fit for Lunatix, especially for the Gold Lane, where experience and skill can make all the difference. However, the current Lunatix Gold Lane player, Jown, performed amazingly during the previous season – obtaining the highest total kills.
For Lunatix, this is not their only change for Season 12, as they also brought in two more Myanmar imports, with Coach Dj as well as Kid from AI Esports joining their roster a few days ago too. With three Myanmar representatives amongst their squad, Lunatix could possibly push for the podium in Season 12, and maybe even give the likes of SMG, HomeBois, and TODAK a few problems moving forward.
