From June 5 the UniPin Ladies Championship in the Philippines will kick off, and GosuGamers is the official media partner for the event.
Women’s esports has come a long way, and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang is leading the way, especially after the recent 32nd Southeast Asia Games broke records in viewership numbers. Recent research has also shown that the number of female gamers in the Asia region is rapidly rising faster than their male counterparts. With that in mind, the UniPin Ladies Series looks to further grow and nurture the female gaming community with a fantastic esports environment and provide a competitive scene throughout the SEA region.
The first of these UniPin Ladies Championship events will begin on June 5, with the Philippines being the region which will get underway. Following this will be the Malaysian and Singapore regions, with Indonesia being the final one. The top two teams from each of these region’s events will qualify for the UniPin Ladies Series Southeast Asia Championship 2023, which is an annual event. There will also be a Last Chance Qualifier for the event, which will see the third-place team from each region getting one last chance to reach the Main Event – with the top 2 teams going through to USC 2023.
While USC 2023 is still a while away, the PH ladies’ teams are definitely ready to play their event, which will take place from June 5 to 11, while USC 2023 will occur in late September.
