Week 2 of the Mobile Legends Professional League Season 11 took place over the weekend, with more interesting results after some big series. Much like Week 1, it was a mixed bag of results for the teams, but some definitely saw far better performances than others – while for one team, nothing seems to be going right yet. On the other hand, the once dominant Bren Esports look to be a force to be reckoned with in Season 11.

All cylinders firing

Bren Esports have spent a few seasons trying to make their way back to the top of MPL PH, with Season 10 seeing them take a solid fourth-place finish. While it is only the second week of Season 11, the team have already completed three strong victories, while they suffered an unfortunate loss to the M4 World Champions, ECHO. This week saw them cruise past both Nexplay EVOS and TNC Pro Team – and while both of those teams are struggling, it could give Bren the confidence to continue their win-streak, as they now sit one point ahead of ECHO in the table.

TNC’s struggles

Even though they have brought in a host of new talent this season, TNC are still unable to really find their footing in MPL PH Season 11. While the team certainly have the skill and knowledge to get ahead, they seem to be unable to convert that in the mid-game period, and often fall soon after. Nothing will be getting easier for TNC either in the upcoming weeks with the likes of ONIC PH, ECHO, and Smart Omega Esports as their challengers. If we are lucky, we could see them cause some upsets, but it seems unlikely.

On the ropes

While ONIC are one of the stronger teams in MPL PH, they have also not fully come to terms with the current meta or found their footing. After four games, the team are two down, with losses to RSG Slate PH last week, and another to ECHO this week. The team will have to face off against one of their major rivals, Blacklist International, in Week 3, but for now they need to solidify their positioning and gameplay.

Although we may only be two weeks into MPL PH Season 11, with six more to go before the playoffs are decided, teams are definitely beginning to come into their own, figuring out what works in the meta, and punishing mistakes quickly in the early-game periods. Week 3 is set to be another epic showing of MLBB prowess from everyone involved, with more fantastic series which could make or break a season.
